Mine Supervisor Courses

This G189 Mine Supervisor course is mandatory for all Supervisors in the mining industry. It meets the fundamental requirements of a Mine Supervisor in the Resources Industry as per s.56 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and s.51 of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIRIS301E - Apply Risk Management Processes, RIIWHS301E - Conduct Safety and Health Investigations, and RIICOM301E - Communicate Information.

This G189 Mine Supervisor refresher course is recommended every 5 years. This is as per Reg. 84 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 (Qld). The G189 Mine Supervisor refresher course meets the requirements for the position of a Mine Supervisor in the Resources Industry, RIIWHS301E Conduct Safety and Health Investigations, and RIICOM301E Communicate Information.

This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory, risk management or technical specialist roles. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIRIS402E Carry out the risk management process.
