Confined Space Course

The RIIWHS202E Enter & work in a confined space incorporating MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres training specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices. This unit is appropriate for those working in an operational role at worksites within Civil Construction, Coal Mining, Drilling, Extractive industries & Metalliferous mining. Participants will learn to complete hazard identifications; risk assessments and work permits for confined space operations and how to operate various confined space safety equipment.

  • Exit confined space
  • Maintain equipment & clean up

Before commencement of each course, the trainer will assess participants language, literacy and numeracy levels.  This will help trainers identify learners who need assistance and support and at the same time the suitability and appropriateness to enrol and complete a course.
