Emergency Response Course

This course provides all the skills you need to perform effective, lifesaving CPR. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a vital form of first aid used for the immediate treatment of a victim who is unconscious and not breathing normally, in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

  • Assess the incident scene
  • Conduct DRSABCD action plan
  • Perform CPR techniques
  • Roll a patient into the recovery position
  • Handover to medical personnel

Before commencement of each course, the trainer will assess participants language, literacy and numeracy levels.  This will help trainers identify learners who need assistance and support and at the same time the suitability and appropriateness to enrol and complete a course.

CPR Low Voltage Rescue Training
CPR & Low Voltage Rescue training is a new course. Completion of UETDRRF004 Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel requires the pre-requisites of HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This program has been created to include this pre-requisite unit. The training provides participants with the competence required to rescue a person that has been electrocuted whilst using low voltage equipment. Participants will gain the confidence and competence required to perform CPR & Low Voltage Rescue on an unconscious person.
First Aid Training Course
This program applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response. Upon successful completion of the program. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID10 Provide basic emergency life support, and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
