Course Details
This license to operate a forklift truck safely training prepares participants for high-risk work. Gain the necessary skills to safely operate a forklift truck in the workplace delivered by Sharp5 Industry Training. A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck high-risk work (HRW) licence.
Activities undertaken during this unit include:
- Being able to plan the work
- Conducting routine checks on the forklift
- Shift loads in a safe manner
- Shutdown and secure the equipment after completion of operations
This course is for individuals who are required to partake in high-risk work in the workplace, involving the operation of a forklift truck.
Forklift truck means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.
This is a nationally accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and will be eligible to apply for a High-Risk Work License through the QLD Government. Licenses are valid for 5 years and you must be 18 to complete the practical assessment.
