TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

This qualification (or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it) is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

The volume of learning of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is typically six months to two years.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Full Training – Workshops
Trainer and Assessor Cluster
This cluster is designed for trainers and assessors who deliver non accredited training or work with other trainers in delivering nationally recognised training.

  • TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEASS402 Access competence
  • TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
  • TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction

Duration: 4 Days (plus additional practical assessments that can be completed in a workplace or simulated environment )

Successful completion of the Trainer and Assessor Cluster will allow you to gain the skills and knowledge required for a Statement of Attainment TAESS00015 Enterprise or Workplace Trainer and Assessor.

Design Cluster
This cluster is enables you to gain the skills to assist in developing learning programs in the vocational education sector including the ability and analyse and unpack training packages and or units of competency to design programs to suit your clients/ workplace needs.

  • TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs
  • TAEDES402 Use training packages & accredited courses to meet clients’ needs
  • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools

Duration: 3 Days (plus additional practical assessments that can be completed in a workplace or simulated environment )

Delivery Cluster
This cluster will provide techniques and strategies you can implement in your delivery strategies focusing on the importance of session planning through to continuous review of training you deliver.

  • TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
