Working at Heights Training – RIIWHS204D (including refresher)
This unit of competency covers working safely at heights in the resources and infrastructure industries. The program enables students to not only understand and instigate safe working at heights procedures, but also to participate in a rescue from heights and perform a self-rescue. Sharp Training is one of a selected few training organisations in Australia that offer this added rescue training as a standard to their Safe Work at Heights course.
This unit specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices when working at heights or depths. This unit is appropriate for those working in an operational role at worksites within:
- Civil construction
- Coal mining
- Extractive industries
- Metalliferous mining
This is a nationally accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights.

- Identify work procedures and instructions
- Access and install equipment
- Perform work at heights
- Clean up work area
