TLILIC0003 License to operate a Forklift Truck (LF)
TARGET AUDIENCE

This license qualifies students to operate a forklift truck safely.   Forklift truck means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.  A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck high risk work (HRW) licence.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Activities undertaken during this unit include:
  • Being able to plan the work
  • Conducting routine checks on the forklift
  • Shift loads in a safe manner
  • Shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations
 
OUTCOMES
This is a nationally accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment  and will be eligible to apply for a High Risk Work License through the QLD Government.  Licenses are valid for 5 years and you must be 18 to complete the practical assessment.
 
DURATION
Option 1  - 2 days (2 x 8 hour days) Day 1 and Day 3 (complete a training log book in workplace)
Option 2 – 3 days (3 x 8 hours) Day 1, 2 & 3 (experienced operations only
