First Aid Training (including refresher training)
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This program applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response.
 
APPLICATION

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program covers:

• Responding to an emergency situation
• Apply appropriate first aid procedures
• Communicate details of the incident
• Review the incident

 
OUTCOMES
This is a nationally accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in the following competencies;
 
HLTAID011                Provide First Aid
HLTAID010                Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID009                Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

1 day (1 x 8 hour day)
